How they compare

The same jobs, done two ways.

Getting things in

Soon

You type or say a normal sentence and Soon does the filing: "buy flowers for Mom at Biedronka tomorrow after work" becomes one task with a time, a place and a person. A longer sentence can turn into several tasks. Paste text, pick a photo, share a link or drop in a text file and Soon suggests the tasks in it.

TickTick

TickTick's + button is everywhere, and the desktop apps add a global shortcut. You can forward emails to a TickTick address, paste a batch of lines, or add from widgets. Smart date parsing picks up dates and times as you type, on the free plan too.

Voice

Soon

Talk to Soon and it splits what you said into tasks, with dates and places filled in. Unclear tasks get a short question afterward. You can close the sheet and it finishes on its own. English and Polish, even in one sentence.

TickTick

Long-press + to dictate a task, or ask Siri. Recording Mode takes up to 30 minutes. AI Voice Add and recording summaries turn speech into tasks, and they sit with the other AI features on Premium, with a monthly quota.

When things show up

Soon

Soon picks what goes in Now: what's due today, plus sections for places, for people and for small things you'll do when you're free. The rest waits in Soon and Someday. Tidy up asks about old tasks one at a time: keep it, move it or let it go.

TickTick

TickTick gives you the tools to arrange it yourself: lists, tags, smart lists like Today and Next 7 Days, filters on Premium, Kanban, a timeline and an Eisenhower matrix. Up to 5 reminders per task on Premium, and constant reminders that keep nagging.

Calendar and focus

Soon

Soon reads the calendars already on your device and keeps event details there. It shows events next to tasks, finds free gaps, and brings up person tasks before a meeting with them. It has no calendar view of its own and no focus timer.

TickTick

This is TickTick's home ground. It has year, month, week, agenda, multi-day and multi-week views, subscribes to Google, Outlook, iCloud, Exchange and CalDAV, and syncs tasks both ways with Google. It also has a Pomodoro timer, a habit tracker and countdowns. None of that exists in Soon.

Working with others

Soon

Share a context like Home with an invite link. Members see its tasks and who added them, and you can assign tasks to each other. Nothing outside that context is shared.

TickTick

Share any normal list by email or link, assign tasks with @, and comment with mentions. The free plan allows 2 members per list, Premium 29.

Platforms

Soon

iPhone and Mac only, on iOS 26 and macOS 26 or later. Widgets, Control Center controls, Shortcuts and Siri, a share extension on iPhone, and a Mac app with Quick Capture on Control-Space and a Command-K palette.

TickTick

TickTick runs on iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Vision Pro, Android, Wear OS, Mac, Windows, Linux and the web, with widgets on most of them.

Where TickTick is stronger

Which one to pick

Soon fits if

  • You use an iPhone and a Mac.
  • You'd rather say what's on your mind than file it into lists.
  • You want tasks to come up when you get somewhere or before you see someone.
  • A calendar view and a focus timer aren't what you're missing.

TickTick fits if

  • You want tasks, calendar, focus timer and habits in one app.
  • You need Android, Windows, the web or an iPad.
  • You like arranging your own lists, tags and views.
  • You need it working today, not in early access.

Where Soon is today

Soon is in early access. The iPhone app goes out by invite and isn't on the App Store yet. The Mac app isn't released yet. Both need iOS 26 or macOS 26 or later.

It's free to start, with unlimited tasks and 50 AI actions. A paid Soon Pro plan is planned, with no price set. Which features end up in Pro may change before launch.

New in the early access build: an Inbox, where everything you add lands first so you can check what Soon read before it goes on your list.
